1. SCULPTURE SIZE REDUCTION

This 3D print process provides a means for near exact bronze sculpture replication in various dimensions.

Miniature replications of the original sculpture were 3D printed from the digital model file. Silicone molds were made to begin the lost-wax bronze process.

and adjusted as necessary to correct scanning imperfections or design elements that may not be strong enough for preferred 3D printed materials.

The design can be printed for sale as a unique product.

3D Printing (also known as Additive Manufacturing) has been integrated into many aspects of industry, including:  Original product design, sculpture replication, advanced and complex manufacturing, hobbyist makers, video game, toy, and even stop action motion picture production.

These are approaches that I have pursued..

Digital files can also be scaled larger in order to carve / CNC mill (Computer Numerical Control) a monumental version of the sculpture.

The sculpted foam can then be molded in order to begin the lost-wax bronze process.

An original model is created in the computer with a drawing pad and various 3D design software, such as ZBrush and MeshLab.

We scanned an existing 1/4 life-sized bronze sculpture.

These are some of the companies that I have talked with or used for scanning, digital design, and 3D printing.

They each have additional images and documentation of 3D printing processes
